Admissions

 

Admission to various Courses, offered by the Kardan Institute of Higher Education are given below.

Pre-requisite for Bachelor Programs (BBA, BCS, BSc (Eco)

  • Intermediate or equivalent.
  • Having passed KARDAN Entry Test.
  • Admission to Bachelor Programs shall be open to the candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Twelfth Grade) from a registered school with the ministry of education in Afghanistan.
  • Candidate having passed any other examination of a Foreign University / Institution / Examination Body, with both standard as well as scope wise equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Twelfth Grade). The Candidate will have to produce equivalence and conversion of marks certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of Afghanistan.
  • Candidate who has passed Diploma, securing at least 60% aggregate marks, shall be eligible for admission in the same discipline.
  • Candidate convicted by a Court of Law on the grounds of moral turpitude or awarded Sentence in Jail, is ineligible for admission.

Pre-requisite for CAT

  • Higher Secondary School Education
  • Having passed KARDAN Entry Test (Mathematics, English and General Knowledge)

 

ENTRY TEST

All the eligible candidates applying for admission will have to qualify the entry test to be conducted by Kardan Institute of Higher Education, on the date and time announced by the Institute. The test will be conducted in Mathematics, Logic and English of Intermediate level.

Merit list of the qualified student is displayed by the examination department within three working days after the entry test, and successful candidates are called for interview.

 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • The Institute can admit those undefined candidates who qualify the KARDAN Entry Test conducted by Examination Department.
  • Case of doubtful or equivalence of any academic qualification, will be considered by the Academic council of the Institute. If deemed necessary, the Council may also consult other organizations/ authorities of Afghanistan that deal with the subject and determine equivalence of foreign Degrees and Certificates.
  • Candidates seeking admission in various Programs of Kardan shall submit application separate forms for each faculty.
  • All applications forms shall be delivered in the admission office of Kardan Institute on or before the last date given in the advertisement.
  • Every application should be accompanied by a declaration signed by the applicant and countersigned by his/her father or guardian (as the case may be) to the effect that he/she would abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute and obey instructions issued to him/her from time to time by the Lecturer, Dean of the Department/ Vice Chancellor or Chancellor.
  • After declaration of results of Entry Test, Admission Committee shall consider all valid applications received for admission to Bachelor Program. The Admission Committee will process the applications according to the criteria of admission and availability of seats.
  • Candidates selected by the Admission Committee based on the merit list may be called for interview / admission on a specified date.
  • Candidates particular such as Name, National ID Card, Date of birth, score of entry test and the course to which the candidate has been admitted are verified by the Admission Committee and report to the Vice Chancellor Academics with the recommendations of the Admission Committee for approval. After the approval of the Vice Chancellor Academics and payment of fee, the name of the candidate shall be entered in the Students Database and student identity card is issued to him/her.
  • If any seat remains vacant in a discipline after the specified deadline, it will be filled up within 6 days after the announcement of merit list with students the waiting  on the merit list.
  • Admission will not be allowed after the commencement of the classes.
  • Documents once submitted with application form cannot be changed and shall be considered as final. All the documents shall be verified from the concern ministry.

Documents to be submitted with Application Form

  • Three Photo Copies of Twelfth Grade Certificate.
  • Six attested recent passport size photographs of applicant.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation duly signed and attested by the lecturer or boss in the office.

Late Admission

A migrated student shall produce valid attendance record from the former institution at the time of admission.  If the student gets late admission then he / she, himself / herself, is responsible to meet the attendance deficiency at his / her own risk and cost.  He / She will not claim any relaxation in minimum attendance requirement i.e. 75%.  However the institution may arrange special classes at the convenience of management.
