Communications Officer, Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH)

Sayed Eshaq Muqbel

Sayed Eshaq Muqbel holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Parwan University, an advanced English Language Diploma from the World English Institute, United States, and a certificate from Khorogh English Preparatory Program, Tajikistan. He completed his master’s degree in International Relations specializing in Peace and Conflict Resolution at Kardan University.

Mr. Muqbel has more than seven years of experience in communications and translation. Currently, he works as a Communications Officer and Translator at the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH), where he is responsible for the agency’s external visibility, communication, and outreach publications.

He has attended several national and international conferences, workshops, and training such as the International Young leaders Assembly in Dubai, UAE, and has received several prestigious awards from the Aga Khan Development Network, Institute of Ismaili Studies, United States Agency for International Development, Justice Institute of British Columbia, and Afghan Red Crescent Society.

Mr. Muqbel volunteers in leading a community, youth-led organization called Pamir Youth Social Organization (PYSO). At PYSO, he works to build the capacity of youth and underprivileged writers and poets and supports their art by organizing community events to showcase their works and connecting writers and poets to publishers.
