Program Manager, Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH)

Sayed Ahmad Sahim

Sayed Ahmad Sahim is a BBA student at Kardan University who has undergone several professional training in Project Management, Emergency Response, and Disaster Management in Thailand, India, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.

Mr. Sahim started his professional career as a Social Mobilizer with FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance, an Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) affiliate to work with high-risk communities in Badakhshan.

As a Team Leader, Mr. Sahim managed a project funded by USAID in Badakhshan–working with communities to withstand the negative impacts of Natural Disasters. He has also worked in the capacity of Program Officer, looking after all the programmatic activities, reporting writing, and project planning.

Currently, he serves as a Program Manager–Preparedness and Response with Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH). He supervises the preparedness activities for Natural Disasters and Emergency Response Activities. Mr. Sahim has worked as Head of Communication and Dissemination Committee with Aga Khan Council in Badakhshan–where he shared learning opportunities and scholarships with the youths in the local communities.
