Department of Economics(DOE)
Economics is about human behavior, resources, relationships, choices and
decisions. It’s about what makes the world go round…or come to a standstill. The
Bachelor of Science in Economics (B.Sc Economics) program of Kardan Institute of
Higher Education (KIHE) aims at developing a student’s intellectual ability,
executive personality and managerial skills through an appropriate blend of
economics, business and general education. To attain this objective, faculty
employ a varietyof in class learning approaches, which include class
discussions, case analysis, lectures, readings, films and guest speakers. The
B.Sc Economics program is designed to provide world-class Economists that are
not only nationally accredited but also globally competitive and to produce
graduates who will be professionally competent, morally upright, and socially
responsible contributors to the national development of Afghanistan. The B.Sc
Economics program is a study of theories, concepts, different practical cases
and implementation and application of all these to give effective solution to
economic problems. It prepares students to be Economists and Researches which
will be proficient in developing and implementing effective economic plans and
strategies to achieve growth and prosperity for the economy of Afghanistan.
