Program Overview
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program of Kardan Institute of
Higher Education (KIHE) aims at developing student’s intellectual ability,
executive personality and managerial skills through an appropriate blending of
business and general education. To attain this objective, faculty employ a
variety of in-class learning approaches, which include class discussions, case
analysis, lectures, readings, films and guest speakers. The BBA program is
designed to provide world- class business professionals that are not only
nationally accredited but also globally competitive and to produce graduates who
will be professionally competent, morally upright, and socially responsible
contributors to the national development of Afghanistan.
The BBA program is a study of theories, concepts, different practical cases and
implementation and application of all these to give effective solution to
business problems. It prepares students to be Business managers and researches
which will be proficient in developing and implementing effective business plans
and strategies.
Program Objadsective
The program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
has the following objectives:
1,To enable students to acquire the theoretical and practical skills needed to
be globally competitive business managers.
2,To enable students to obtain a comprehensive knowledge of business and deep
understanding of the field of modern business and communications technology.
3,To prepare students to be proficient in decision making and developing new
improved plans for implementation.
4,To enable students to get a broad liberal education in the arts and letters,
social sciences and philosophy, natural science and mathematics to be best
applied in the field of management.
5,To enable students to develop the cultural sensitivity, ethical
responsibility, and social consciousness needed to become upright citizens of
the Afghanistan and the world.
Specialization
Three specializations are offered in BBA;
Finance and Accounting
Marketing and advertising
Human Resource Management
Eligibility Criteria
F.A. /F.Sc. or equivalent qualification with at least second division or 45%
aggregate is eligible to apply. Qualification of entrance test (40% score) as
well as interview is obligatory for admission.
Degree Requirements
BBA program requires the completion of 141 credit hours in 46 courses in 4
years. Besides coursework, students are required to undertake an internship in
any reputable organization for a period of eight weeks followed by the
submission of a formal Report or Research Project: these altogether are worth
two courses i.e. six credit hours carrying 200 marks. The duration for the
completion of BBA Honors program is eight semesters; however, exceptions allow
extension that may not exceed twelve semesters.
